He fundamentally specializes in engineering simulation. He has presented at several national and international platforms the need for simulation driven product development.
He is primarily responsible for the development of engineering programs and the quality assurance of the same at all levels of development.
He has contributed along with CTO to several research assignments of GTRE and FCRI. He is one of the key contributors in the development of ‘Structural mechanics for designers and analysts’ program which is NOS compliant.
He has authored a comprehensive volume on fundamentals of stress and vibrations to serve as reference guide for the e-course on structural mechanics for designers and analysts.
His simulation areas of specialization are structures, civil structures, Emag and fluids. He has jointly authored a detailed account on Joint technology with CTO, which was presented at Sandiago during NAFEMs world congress. He has jointly developed with CTO several pedagogical techniques for INNOVENT such as engineering wheel, memory maps etc.

He has lead team of design and stress engineers for several NPI/design improvement and research projects covering situations of components and assembly, characterized by structural, thermal and fluid loads. Wherein, he has contributed to risk management, critical hand calculations, result interpretation, sensitivity analysis and optimization. He was also part of several defect investigations at HAL which involved probing, manufacturing assembly and design parameters.
He has also contributed to indigenization of several components via reverse engineering and type-tests Additionally, he has contributed to competency development in the areas of composites, Rotor dynamics, and lifing (fatigue and fracture-mechanics). His course on critical thinking has been well received not just in leading universities but also in leading industries with a commendable feedback.
Holds an ASET level 4 National Award in Holistic Gas Turbines from UK.
Lead and delivered with complete technical participation in design and analysis of several research and NPI projects. He has indigenized several key components for defense gas turbine engines He also bagged the Best Mentor Award 2009 at QuEST with Customer Recommendations. He has proposed patented idea on dual piston-ring for a civil gas turbine engine.
He has presented at NAFEMS WORLD congress Salzburg 2013 on CAE skill development and authored a detailed paper on critical challenges of bolted joint design for NAFEMS 2015.
He was a visiting faculty to VTU for continuum mechanics. His book on Engineering Critical thinking was extremely well received both at the industry and academia.
